Ahlan! Welcome to Egypt with Orro Tour. Your adventure begins in Cairo with a welcome meeting at 4 pm, where you’ll meet your tour leader and fellow travellers. If you arrive early, get your bearings by walking around the neighbourhood, or escape the hustle and bustle and explore the Christian quarter, known as Coptic Cairo. After the meeting, head out with your fellow travellers and discover Khan al-Khalili Bazaar, located in Cairo’s Islamic centre. This traditional souk is a labyrinth of narrow alleys lined with local merchants, making it the perfect place to experience daily Egyptian life.

This morning, head to Giza – home to some of the world’s most iconic sights and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Explore the structures that have stood tall for 4500 years and uncover the mysteries surrounding them with your guide. Head to a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the three pyramids before visiting the Great Sphinx of Giza. For lunch, enjoy a traditional Koshary meal at a local restaurant – a tasty and filling Egyptian specialty. Afterwards, visit the Egyptian Museum, home to one of the world’s greatest collections of antiquities. Wander through the treasure-filled halls while your guide highlights the most fascinating exhibits. Later, transfer to the train station and board your overnight sleeper train to Aswan.

Travel to Aswan – Egypt’s southernmost city, where the Nile River flows peacefully, white-sailed feluccas glide across the water, and Elephantine Island awaits. Today is free to explore the highlights of Aswan, such as the Unfinished Obelisk, the High Dam, the Nubian Bazaar, the Nubian Museum, or the beautiful Temple of Isis on Philae Island. Stroll along Aswan’s scenic Corniche and relax with a refreshing mint tea while admiring one of the Nile’s most beautiful stretches. In the evening, experience authentic Nubian hospitality with dinner at a local Nubian family home in a nearby village.

Today is another free day in Aswan. Perhaps take an early excursion to Abu Simbel, one of Egypt’s most spectacular ancient sites, where four colossal statues of Ramses II guard the Great Temple carved into the mountainside. Alternatively, enjoy a traditional felucca sail around the islands of Aswan, including the botanical gardens on Kitchener’s Island. You may also choose to relax by the Nile or shop in the colorful local bazaar.

Enjoy a relaxed morning before boarding your traditional Nile felucca just before lunch. Spend the afternoon sailing along the Nile while watching local Egyptian life unfold on the riverbanks. Your Nubian sailing crew will prepare delicious homemade meals and provide local entertainment during the journey. The felucca is a traditional wooden sailing boat with broad canvas sails that offer shade and a truly authentic experience. Tonight, enjoy a magical sunset over the Nile before sleeping beneath the stars.

Say goodbye to your Nubian crew this morning and travel by private vehicle to Luxor, often described as the world’s greatest open-air museum. In the afternoon, explore the magnificent Karnak Temple Complex, one of the largest and most impressive religious sites ever built by the ancient Egyptians. The remainder of the day is free to relax, browse the local bazaar, or enjoy a traditional tea house.

Today, discover the wonders of ancient Thebes on Luxor’s West Bank. Begin with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon – two massive statues representing Pharaoh Amenhotep III. Continue to the Valley of the Kings, where more than 60 richly decorated royal tombs are hidden beneath the desert hills. Your guide will explain the fascinating history, legends, and hieroglyphics found within these ancient burial sites. Afterwards, enjoy a traditional homemade lunch with a local family before spending the rest of the afternoon at leisure. In the evening, board your overnight sleeper train back to Cairo.
