Your incredible journey begins with a warm welcome in Amman, the capital of Jordan. Upon your arrival at Queen Alia International Airport, a representative from our team will be there to greet you personally and ensure a smooth transfer to your hotel.

Once you’ve checked in and settled into your room at a 3 to 4-star hotel in Amman, you’ll receive helpful information about the area, including recommendations for nearby shops, cafés, and restaurants. The rest of the day is free for you to relax or start exploring the city’s rich culture and lively streets at your own pace.

Overnight stay: Comfortable hotel in Amman

day 2 Discovering Jerash and the Ancient Treasures of Amman

After breakfast, we embark on a captivating day of history and culture, starting with a trip north to the ancient city of Jerash, often referred to as the “Jewel of the North”. Known for its incredibly well-preserved Roman ruins, Jerash is one of the finest examples of Roman city planning outside of Italy. With over 6,500 years of human history, the city remained buried under sand for centuries until excavations in the last 70 years uncovered its grand avenues, theaters, temples, and public plazas.

In the afternoon, we return to Amman, Jordan’s capital, affectionately nicknamed the “White City” for its striking white limestone architecture. This modern city is layered with history—from Neolithic settlements to Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine, and Islamic periods.

Our guided tour includes key highlights such as:

  • The Amman Citadel, home to the impressive remains of the Temple of Hercules

  • The Umayyad Palace and Byzantine Church

  • The majestic 6,000-seat Roman Theatre, built when Amman was known as Philadelphia

This day blends archaeology, architecture, and storytelling, giving you a deep insight into Jordan’s vibrant and multi-layered past.

Overnight stay: Hotel in Amman
Meals included: Breakfast

day 3Mosaics, Castles, and Scenic Wadis on the Way to Petra

After breakfast, we leave Amman behind and begin a scenic journey south along the historic King’s Highway, a route steeped in biblical and ancient history. This day is filled with awe-inspiring landscapes, cultural stops, and remarkable heritage sites as we make our way to Petra.

Our first stop is the charming town of Madaba, home to the famous Greek Orthodox Church of St. George, where you’ll find the 6th-century Byzantine mosaic map of the Holy Land—one of the oldest known geographical depictions of the region.

Next, we head to Mount Nebo, believed to be the burial site of the Prophet Moses. From the summit, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and—on a clear day—even Jerusalem.

As we continue, we’ll drive through Wadi al-Mujib, often referred to as the “Grand Canyon of Jordan.” The road winds its way past olive groves and rural villages, offering spectacular photo opportunities as we climb the canyon’s edge.

We’ll also explore Kerak Castle, a massive Crusader fortress built in 1132 AD by King Baldwin I of Jerusalem. This historic stronghold played a key role in the Crusades and offers commanding views over the surrounding hills. The castle was later captured by Saladin in 1188 AD and still stands as one of Jordan’s most impressive medieval ruins.

By evening, we’ll arrive in Petra, where you’ll check in to your hotel and enjoy free time to relax. For those interested, the optional Petra by Candlelight experience is available—a magical evening walk through the Siq to the Treasury, lit by over 1,500 candles.

Overnight stay: Hotel in Petra
Meals included: Breakfast

day 4 Discover the Ancient City of Petra and Experience Desert Camping in Wadi Rum

Today’s adventure focuses on exploring the iconic archaeological wonder, Petra, one of the world’s most famous ancient cities. Known as the former capital of the Nabatean Kingdom, Petra thrived as a major commercial hub until its conquest by the Romans in 106 AD. Hidden for centuries and rediscovered in 1812 by Swiss explorer Johann Ludwig Burckhardt, Petra remains a breathtaking UNESCO World Heritage Site located at the edge of the Wadi Araba desert.

Our journey begins by walking through the narrow and dramatic Siq, a natural rock canyon that leads you deep into Petra. Towering cliffs rise up to 200 meters high, narrowing to just two meters wide in some spots, creating a stunning natural gateway. Along the way, spot the ancient Nabatean water channel and terracotta pipes, early marvels of engineering that supplied water to the city.

At the end of the Siq, be awestruck by the magnificent Khazneh (Treasury) — Petra’s most famous façade, intricately carved into the sandstone cliffs from top to bottom. Your expert guide will reveal the spiritual and historical significance behind Petra’s carved architecture.

Explore the sprawling valley beyond, where rock-cut tombs, a Roman amphitheater, and colonnaded streets await. During your free time, hike the challenging but rewarding paths to the monumental Monastery (Ad Deir), perched 50 meters high with panoramic views over Wadi Araba and the Jordan Valley. For those up to it, climb to the High Place of Sacrifice and Lion Fountain for additional stunning vistas.

This day involves walking approximately 3 km through the Siq to the Treasury and several kilometers on steep trails to the Monastery, totaling over 800 steps. For guests preferring easier mobility, horse-drawn carriages offer transport through the Siq (approx. 20 JD / USD 28), while donkeys are available for the steep climb to the Monastery (recommended only uphill).

In the afternoon, we depart Petra and head to the spectacular Wadi Rum desert. Here, experience authentic Bedouin hospitality in a comfortable desert camp nestled beneath towering sandstone cliffs. Relax under the stars and enjoy a traditional Jordanian dinner in this magical desert setting.

Overnight: Bedouin camp in Wadi Rum
Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

day 5Thrilling Jeep Safari in Wadi Rum & Relaxing Float in the Dead Sea

Start your day with a hearty breakfast before embarking on an exhilarating Jeep safari in Wadi Rum, exploring the breathtaking desert landscape famous for its towering rust-colored jebels (rocky mountains). This stunning desert was the awe-inspiring backdrop of TE Lawrence’s adventures during the Arab Revolt of 1917-18 and later immortalized in the iconic film Lawrence of Arabia. Experience the vast open spaces, dramatic rock formations, and rich Bedouin culture as you traverse this UNESCO World Heritage desert.

After the desert safari, we head north towards the Dead Sea, one of the most extraordinary natural wonders on earth. Situated over 400 meters below sea level, the Dead Sea is the planet’s lowest point and is renowned for its unique mineral-rich waters and therapeutic mud. Surrounded by majestic mountains on the east and the rolling hills of Jerusalem to the west, the Dead Sea offers a surreal and peaceful setting steeped in biblical history—believed to have been home to the ancient cities of Sodom, Gomorrah, Adman, Zebouin, and Zoar.

At the Dead Sea, prepare for an unforgettable experience as you “swim” in the ultra-salty water. True swimming isn’t possible due to the high salinity; instead, enjoy effortlessly floating on the surface—a perfect opportunity for unique and photogenic moments. Just take care to avoid getting water in your eyes, as the salt concentration can sting, especially if you have any small cuts.

In the late afternoon, return to your hotel in Amman where you can unwind and reflect on the incredible adventures of your journey through Jordan’s iconic landscapes.

Overnight: Hotel in Amman
Meals: Breakfast

day 6 Transfer from Amman to Cairo with Hotel Arrival and Optional Nile Dinner Cruise

Continue to the legendary Valley of the Kings, where you’ll explore several elaborately decorated tombs of pharaohs and nobles.

Learn about the lives of the skilled workers who built these incredible monuments with a visit to Deir el-Medina, the ancient village of the artisans. Don’t miss the Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues that have stood for over 3,000 years guarding the entrance to a former temple.

For the ultimate experience, choose the optional hot air balloon flight over Luxor’s West Bank at sunrise. Drift peacefully above ancient temples and the Nile River, enjoying panoramic views of the desert landscape.

Today, discover two remarkable yet less-visited ancient Egyptian sites—Dendara and Abydos—offering a unique glimpse into Egypt’s rich spiritual history.

First, visit the stunning Temple of Hathor at Dendara, renowned for its exceptional state of preservation and intricate reliefs. Dedicated to Hathor, the goddess of love, music, and joy, this temple often becomes a favorite for visitors seeking an authentic and less crowded experience.

Next, explore Abydos, the sacred cult center of Osiris, the god of the afterlife. This ancient necropolis was a major pilgrimage and burial site in Egypt, once home to at least ten temples. The temple of Seti I here is especially famous for its well-preserved wall carvings and hieroglyphics.

After these extraordinary visits, return to Luxor and relax at your 4-star hotel.

Overnight: 4-star hotel in Luxor

day 11Visit Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples & Overnight Felucca Sailing to Aswan

Today, embark on a scenic drive to Edfu to explore the magnificent Temple of Horus, one of Egypt’s best-preserved ancient temples. Built during the Ptolemaic dynasty (237–57 BC), this impressive rectangular temple features majestic halls, shrines, and courtyards adorned with intricate carvings and hieroglyphs depicting Egyptian mythology. Its towering 36-meter-high pylon entrance showcases stunning reliefs that offer deep insights into ancient Egyptian culture and religious beliefs.

Afterward, enjoy a relaxing sail along the Nile on a traditional felucca, heading towards the Kom Ombo Temple. This unique double temple, dating from the Ptolemaic period (180–47 BC), is dedicated to two gods: Horus, the falcon-headed god, and Sobek, the crocodile god. Explore its symmetrical layout with two entrances, halls, and sanctuaries, decorated with fascinating reliefs including ancient surgical instruments and a Nilometer used to measure the Nile’s water levels.

Your felucca sailing journey continues as you cruise to Aswan, where you’ll spend a peaceful night onboard the traditional sailboat, complete with an accompanying support boat equipped with shower and toilet facilities.

day 12 Explore Aswan with Optional Abu Simbel Tour, Visit Philae Temple, and Return to Cairo

Begin your day with an optional early morning excursion to the spectacular Abu Simbel Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage site located on the shores of Lake Nasser, about three hours from Aswan. Built by Ramses II, these monumental rock-cut temples are among Egypt’s most awe-inspiring archaeological treasures. Remarkably, the temples were carefully dismantled and relocated to higher ground to avoid flooding when Lake Nasser was created.

If you opt to stay in Aswan, enjoy exploring the vibrant Aswan markets and Corniche, or visit the fascinating Nubian Museum, which offers an insightful collection on the history and culture of the Nubian people.

In the afternoon, embark on a scenic boat trip to the beautiful Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Like Abu Simbel, this temple was rescued from rising waters and relocated to its current island home on Lake Nasser, making it one of Egypt’s most picturesque and historically significant sites.
